Frequently Asked Questions

Most of our internships are unpaid, but we offer academic credit coordination, professional development opportunities, and for field positions in Nicaragua, we provide housing assistance. We're committed to making internships accessible and can discuss arrangements on a case-by-case basis.

Time commitments vary by position, ranging from 10-20 hours per week for remote positions to full-time for field positions. We're flexible and can work with your schedule, especially during academic terms.

Spanish proficiency is required for field positions in Nicaragua. For remote positions, Spanish is helpful but not required—we have roles that don't require language skills.

Yes! Most of our internship positions qualify for academic credit. We'll provide the documentation and supervision hours your institution requires. Please check with your academic advisor about specific requirements.

We accept applications on a rolling basis and have positions available throughout the year. Start dates are flexible and can be coordinated with your academic calendar.

Every intern is paired with a supervisor who provides regular feedback, mentorship, and professional development guidance. For field interns, we also provide pre-departure orientation and in-country support.
