Frequently Asked Questions

  • This is really up to you! All FNE International volunteer opportunities are customizable according to organizational needs and what you bring to the table. There are both online and in person (service trip) options. Just write to us at info@fneinternational.org to start the conversation!

  • In terms of time, some volunteer roles are for one-time events, some are short term and others might choose a six-month commitment or longer. If you are volunteering in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, or Peru, you could come for a long weekend,
or you could come for a couple of months. All we ask is that you think carefully about the amount of time you are able to give before choosing your role.

  • We have several group trips that can be joined throughout the year, or you can plan an individual or group trip of your own! Check in with us for more information about upcoming trips and volunteer opportunities by writing us at info@fneinternational.org.

  • As we mentioned before, we will work together to align our organization’s current needs with your talents. We do ask that for groups
of volunteers, all participants be age 14 and older, and for volunteers traveling independently, participants must be age 18 and older.
